The Sunshine Coast
We’re not an island! We’re actually part of the mainland but there is such a large ocean inlet there is no official road to the Sunshine Coast. There is, however, access to us via a short 40-minute ferry ride from Vancouver up the beautiful Georgia Strait. Enough time to be convenient, but long enough for the salty air and sea views to seep into your bones as you sail up the coast into another world.
There is a reason why our vehicles carry the tagline “Beautiful British Columbia”. From our snow-capped mountains to our stunning beaches, we have it all here on the west coast of Canada. West coast living with its relaxed, outdoorsy vibe will intoxicate your senses and drive you to return again and again. Who can fail to fall in love with the sunsets, the crystal oceans, the wildlife and rugged coastline – we did when we moved here!
There is so much to do here too. For those who love nature and the outdoors, the opportunities are endless. Hiking trails, bike courses, kayak trips, climbing and zip-lining. For those that like to take it easy there are a plethora of beaches that are never very far away, lots of well maintained picnic areas all over the Sunshine Coast and golf courses to explore. If finding that unique item or artisan piece is what excites you, the Sunshine Coast is well known for its arts culture. Many artists work and sell direct from their homes or through boutique shops in small towns such as Gibsons, Roberts Creek, Davis Bay, Sechelt and beyond.
If you love fresh, local healthy food this is the place to be! We have any number of restaurants that are passionate about providing you with the very best ingredients from ethical meats to vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options to make you drool. Micro-breweries are popping up everywhere and are right on target with their offerings of crisp, fresh, tasty beers, wines and spirits. All this is food for the senses and all of it comes with the glorious backdrop of picture perfect scenery, coastlines and mountains.
Roberts Creek
Famous for its quirky eateries, beach and pier and its artisan, inclusive culture, Roberts Creek is very dear to our hearts and we know it will be to yours once you visit. Many people came on vacation here and never left! The centre of the village has boutique shops, a restaurant, café, yoga studio and stunning views at the beach. Venturing out from the village, you will find a golf course, hiking trails and the best fish & chips on the coast!
